Ángeles Margarida, a Puerto Rican native, earned her BA in Spanish Literature with a concentration in Studio Art from The University of Dallas. She received her Master in Landscape Architecture from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2021. In 2019, she traveled to Tanzania as a student to work on a group landscape design project for a rural hospital in Roche. Working with the Roche community led her to pursue her thesis “Empowering Artists Who Have Experienced Homelessness in the City of Dallas, TX, Through Temporary Public Art in Urban Spaces”, which was awarded the Bill Millsap Fellowship Award in 2021. She was recognized as an Olmsted Scholar by the Landscape Architecture Foundation in 2021.

Ángeles joined DesignJones LLC in July 2021 where she has continued to pursue her passion of working with communities and the intersection of art, history and memory in the landscape. She has worked on various projects spanning from analysis to construction documentation involving memorial design, community engagement inspired mural art, public housing, cultural campus plazas, & historically focused master plans. DesignJones LLC was recognized by the Texas Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, for the 2024 Merit Award in Built Design for The Divine Nine Plaza, Georgia Tech University, Atlanta, GA, for which she served a substantial role.
